Staff
Iashae Saadeh
Charity Manager
Iashae leads the charity’s day-to-day operations, supporting trustees, volunteers, hospital staff, and members. Iashae oversees fundraising activities, volunteer recruitment, grant administration and communications for The Friends Charity.

​Iashae works closely with hospital departments to help deliver projects that enhance patient care, support families and improve staff wellbeing.
​
Iashae joined The Friends Charity of Chelsea & Westminster Hospital in March 2026, bringing experience from healthcare and wealth management sectors holding a First-Class BA (Hons) degree in Accounting and Finance.
Richard Rooney
Services Manager
Richard organises and oversees the Friends' bi-weekly fundraising sales, line manages the Library Trolley and sales volunteers, and ensures the Friends Library is in good working order.
​
Richard joined the Friends as Library Services Coordinator in 2017. Prior to this he had over 25 years’ service with the PCS Trade Union (Justice Sector), becoming the elected Group President, responsible for over 10,000 union members. He also spent seven years with Citizens' Advice as a volunteer Financial Capability Advisor.
Richard holds a NOCN Level 3 Diploma in Employment Law. He is also a holder of the Metropolitan Police Commissioner's Meritorious Service Award.
