Staff
Lucy Doig
Charity Manager
Lucy oversees all the Friends' operations including staff and volunteer management; setting our strategic direction in conjunction with the Board of Trustees; communications; liaising with internal and external stakeholders; grants management; and day to day office administration.

Lucy joined the Friends as Charity Manager in 2018, having previously worked for a human rights-focused grantmaking Trust as Office and Communications Manager, and prior to this as Senior Caseworker and Office Manager for a London-based Member of Parliament.
​
She holds a BA (Hons) in Combined Arts from the University of Durham.​
Richard Rooney
Library Services Coordinator
Richard organises and oversees the Friends' bi-weekly fundraising sales, line manages the Library Trolley and sales volunteers, and ensures the Friends Library is in good working order.
​
Richard joined the Friends as Library Services Coordinator in 2017. Prior to this he had over 25 years’ service with the PCS Trade Union (Justice Sector), becoming the elected Group President, responsible for over 10,000 union members. He also spent seven years with Citizens' Advice as a volunteer Financial Capability Advisor.
Richard holds a NOCN Level 3 Diploma in Employment Law. He is also a holder of the Metropolitan Police Commissioner's Meritorious Service Award.
