Governance
The governance of Friends of Chelsea and Westminster Hospital is overseen by a Board of Trustees, who bring a wealth of experience to guide the charity’s work.
The Board is responsible for setting the strategic direction, ensuring financial accountability, and maintaining compliance with legal and regulatory requirements.
Day-to-day operations are managed by two part-time staff members, while a dedicated team of volunteers supports nearly every aspect of our work. Together, we ensure that all funds raised are used effectively to enhance patient care and support the hospital community.

Our work is funded entirely through donations, legacies, subscriptions, and income from the hospital shop, hair salon, and fees from commercial traders.
We do not receive government funding and rely on the generosity of our supporters to carry out our vital services. To further support our funding efforts, we also run weekly bric-à-brac sales and fairs throughout the year. Thanks to the ongoing commitment of our volunteers and donors, we are able to make a real difference in the lives of patients, their families, and the staff at Chelsea and Westminster Hospital.
