Welcome to the Friends of Chelsea & Westminster Hospital

The Friends are dedicated to improving the lives of patients and staff at Chelsea & Westminster and West Middlesex hospitals. We provide comfort and support where it’s needed most - offering compassionate end-of-life care, delivering Shop and Library Trollies to bed-bound patients, and running a hair salon to help boost patients' dignity and morale.

We also fund essential equipment and services to enhance the overall patient experience. Thanks to the generosity of over 30 volunteers who contribute more than 2,000 hours annually, we are able to award £100,000 in grants each year, making a real difference to the care and support available to patients, their families, and hospital staff.

A Kensington Christmas Story:
The Friends Celebrate and Share the Joy of Reading in partnership with The Queen’s Reading Room

The Friends of Chelsea & Westminster Hospital are incredibly touched and grateful to have been chosen by the Queen's Reading Room charity and Opportunity Kensington to benefit from their new Christmas project. Launched at a special event on November 21st and running for five weeks, ‘A Kensington Christmas Story: Read, Celebrate and Share the Joy of Reading’ will serve as a book donation drop-off point on Kensington High Street, benefitting the Friends’ library and book trolley service for the hospital’s patients and staff.
